Socioeconomics investigates the relationships between social and economic factors in a society.

In IndoBeef, our research aims to understand how all sectors of beef market chains supplied by smallholder farms progress, stagnate or regress because of their local, regional or global economies.

In particular, our socioeconomic research examines social and economic factors to gain a better understanding of how they influence the livelihoods of smallholder beef farmers. The research will also identify potential interventions to help overcome any constraints to economic progress identified through the study.
